‘Are you better off’ question will define the campaign going forward « The Greenroom

‘Are you better off’ question will define the campaign going forward « The Greenroom: "Campaign strategist David Axelrod ran from the question on Sunday. Democratic Gov. Martin O’Malley did the same, then flip-flopped the next day, which if nothing else makes him look unsure about his answer. Joe Biden danced around the question, telling a crowd, “let me just sum it up this way, folks. Osama bin Laden is dead, and General Motors is alive.” A careful observer might respond to the first boast by saying “only because of strategic efforts that date back at least to the Clinton years (aka, Obama didn’t build that)” and to the second by saying, “barely.”"
