Best of the Web Today: In Defense of West Virginia - WSJ.com: "Yes, Reich actually makes the absurd contention that West Virginians "vote against their economic self-interest" because they don't want to lose their jobs. His actual contention is that they are willing to take noneconomic risks--to health and safety--in the pursuit of their economic self-interest. That, by the way, is the same sort of trade-off men make when they take dangerous jobs in industries like mining.
Reich is so blinded by ideology, and by prejudice against white Americans who are not part of the cognitive elite, that he fails to notice he has contradicted his very premise."
