I mused on Twitter today that the strength of recent British dramas— “Downton Abbey” the best example— is that the elegant accents make the ludicrous plot twists seem more plausible and dignified. The same is not true of Morgan whose cartoonishness cannot be made dignified.
In this segment, a perfect storm of tabloid body trashing disguised as a “health” segment, Morgan’s mean spirit finding a predictable and Republican target, a reference to “Scandal’s” Olivia Pope as if she were a real person, and among the most fawning statements about President Obama ever made in public."
