Dem-Controlled State Legislature Quietly Passes 20-Week Abortion Ban | Mediaite: "Over the weekend, another state passed a similar ban on abortions after 20 weeks, but this ban was passed over the weekend and went largely unremarked upon by the national press. This measure was passed in West Virginia where Democrats control both the state House and the state Senate by 6-seat and 14-seat margins respectively.
The state’s Democratic House passed the bill by 85 to 15 and sent the measure to the state’s Senate where it passed by 25 to 9. West Virginia Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin has not indicated whether he plans to sign the bill into law, though he told the Associated Press that he is concerned the bill could be considered unconstitutional."
