Nate Silver Fires Back at ‘Hypocritical’ Dems Piling on Him for Midterm Prediction | Mediaite: "Nate Silver fired back on his blog today against Democrats who all but crucified him after predicting the Republicans are the “slight favorite” to take the Senate this year. In particular, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee pointed to past predictions from Silver that didn’t come to pass, to which Silver responded, “It’s a fun story for news outlets, but public statements by partisan groups won’t usually say anything that you didn’t already know.”
Silver acknowledges that not all predictions come true and of course upsets happen from time to time, and explains that it’s in no way surprising or interesting that politicians believe all polls are biased, and just happen to be biased against them in particular."
